BILLIARDS.

Mr. J. W. Read, champion billiard player of New Zealand, was seen in great form at the Wellington Cyclists' Club last ovoning, giving a club member 350 in 750. Mr. Read won easily, with best breaks of 108, 110, 91, 82, 81, 53, 39. His averago was the excellent ono of 33, and his timo for the 750 was lhr. 7min. After the gamo Mr. Read gavo an exhibition of fancy strokes, and also imparted to tho spectators somo of tho most important hints on the game.
