WELLINGTON EMPLOYERS' ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL MEETING. A large number of members and several visitors from other centres attended tie annual meeting of the Wellington Employers' Association, held in the association's rooms, Woodward ■ Street, last evening. Mr. AVilliam Hopkirk, president, occupied the chair. ' The annual ropovt (already published) and the balance-sheet wore adopted on the motion of the president, who congratulated members.on the. improved financial position. Tlio election of officers resulted as fallows:—President, Mr. William Hopkirk (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs. W. H. Bennett and J. Burbidge (re-elected); j executive committee. Messrs'. T. Ballinger, it. Bull, W. Campbell, W. Cable, P. Crease, A. A. Corrigan, C. T. Crawford, \ E. Donne, 0. Godbei, A. Levy, T. Blunt, M. Manthel, W. M'Lav, E. A.. Scott, 1 , .' Townsend, J. Tompeett, T. S. Young, S. S. Williams, also, as representing various trade sections, Sir. L. S. Humphries (builders), Mr. E. Barbci (master butchers), Mr. F. Kitto (master tailors), Messrs. C. M. Banks attd H. Coull (master printers), Mr. W. T. Mack (master plumbers), anri Mr. W. J. Cbndin coal dealers); auditor, Mr. W. C. Stephens, P.A., (re-elected). The meeting was addressed by Mr. W. Pryor and oilier speakers on seywral imiV ters of special dmportance. and imtrees* to employers, and these questions wore fully discussed. Votes of thanks to the speakoia, tin president, and the secretary w«ro passed.
