MRS. HARRIMAN AS BANKER.
■Mrsi Harriman,,widow of the "railway king"—whoso business - acumen, has, re- , contly formed the subject of eager discussion in Wall Street—has taken a leaf, out of the book, of Sirs. Hetty Green by acquiring the control of \ the Night 'ana Day. Bank. She will be tile first, woman banker- in the history of New York, for, contrary to the .universal belief, Mrs. Green lias never actually controlled the destinies of the banks in whioh-she is interested. The Night and Day Bank is the only ono in New York which .keeps oped for the '24 hours- It : had sunport from its foundation, from the late Mr. Harrimaii. Mrs. Harriman, it is reported, will take hew business offices above, the Night and Day Bank, of which Mr. Charles C. Tegethoe, private,secretary of tho dead "railway kiugi" is to be appointed a director.
