; The new • regulations affecting junioi cadets.came into operation on Friday, tie date upon which they were issued. ■A meeting of Makara Riding ratepayers -will be held at the'Makara-Haß on Wednesday, March 30, at 8 p.m., to consider the proposal to raise a Special loan of £6000. Some days ago it was announced that it was proposed to revise the police regulations. The Hon. Dr. Findlay .informed a reporter on Saturday, that the whole of the - regulations aro to be re* viewed. The regulations, he continued, have not been revised for, quite a number of years. Having gone through the present regulations himself he is satis-' fled that considerable - improvements can. be effected in several directions. He added that at the present time- a number of new regulations are under consideration by Cabinet.
