As there-is-still a coasiderable. amount of work to be, done in connection withi the completion' of the new: Khandallah Bowling Club's' greeUj the' directors,have decided to hold only an informal opening of ■ the green this afternoon, to enable ' the members to have a few games before the season closes. The green—an eight-rink area—is situated in that block of lasd known as: the First Izard ■ subdivision, and lies back a bit , .from the old Porirua Eoad on the hill-side of the railway line (five minutes' walk from the station).' Members and their friends.are oordially invited to be. present. The' official' opening of the green • will take place at the.beginning of- next season, when it is hoped to see representatives from all the city clubs present. .
