The New Zealand Motor Cycle Club's'relia bility trials, which were held last Saturdav proved very successful, the entries probably ex coeding those of any similar contest yet held ii lyew Zealaud. Durng tho homeward run'the-petrol-consumption test was rnado, while the ascent of.tho Paekakariki Hill was utilised to test hill-climbmg capabilities. .The machines:were sent up the bill singly at intervals'of two minutes, and the time occupied carefully noted. The first batch reached town about 5:10 p.m., but' all the others received the full benefit of a'soakmg. deluge of ram and sleet, which,'borne on 1 heavy southeast squall, .missed Wellington, tat drenched the course between Kaiwarra and Paliautanui, .making riding conditions very untavourable, and putting the machines to a verv severe test. • The results were as follow:— ' Private owner&-J.
