MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
• The Missions to Seamen Institute was crowded on Tuesday night, when Mr. and 'Sirs. J, Cathcart provided an enoyAble concert. Mr. James Moore, the missioner, occupied the chair, and delivered a temperance address. .As a result eighteen men took the pledge. A conundrum competition was won by' sailors from ships in port. Several popular choruses, led by tho missioner, were sung in good stylo by the audience.. The: following contributed items to the programmes-Mrs. Cathcart, Miss . Copper, Messrs. J.-Cathcart, Tunley, \V. Cathcart. Austin, aud Eotevear. Miss Tomlinson aoted as accompanist. Hearty cheers were accorded the performers at tho conclusion, and light refreshments were dispensed.
