On Thursday afternoon the Shaw-Savill steamer Delpnic arrived from Gisborne. ' ' In continuation of her loading- operations the F.u.S. Line steamer Drayton Grange leit Wellington for Piuton, Waitara, Timaru, ana Lyttelton, mo last-named being her nnal port. DEN OF EUTHVEN. Advices from Auckland state that the Now Zeaianu-Oauauian steamer Den of Euthven has been aocked mere, and left at 4 p.m. on Thursday for w elllugton: The Wellington portion of her cargo comprises 30,000 ft. of timber, and about 40 tons of general. She is Uue here to-day. THE MANUKA. Shortly before midnight on Thursday the Union Company's steamer Manuka left Wellington for Sydney direct, having on board a large number of passengers. Her imports from Melbourne for Wellington were as follow:—860 cases fruit, V 6 cases tobacco, 211 pieces timber, 119 cases tea, 30 bars steel, 50 cases preserved fruits, 240 bags rice, 22 packages metal, 774 bags flour, 58 ingots tin, 110 cases sugar, IB packages stationery, 30 bags onions. 418 sacks bark, 64 packages wax, 547 cases milk, 378 sacks oats, 160 sacks oysters, HZ sacks oatmeal, 46 cases candles, 24 drums carbide, 30 jars vinegar, 26 cases biscuits. ■ WESTPOET. HARBOUR. The export of coal from Westport for tho month of March was 47,521 tons lOcwt., including 36,041 tons 19cwt. from the Westport Coal Company, 5413 tons lOcwt. from' the State mines, 4985 tons 16c\vt. from the Westport-Stockton mine, and 1080. tons scwt. of brigattcs and eggettes. The export of timber was 49,215 superficial feet. During the month 91 steamers and four sailers, representing 45,148 tons, entered the port, and 94 steamers and three sailers, of 46,882 tous, left, making the total tonnage for the month 92.030 tons. The mean high water was:—River, 23ft. 2iu.; bar, 22ft. 9in. Yesterday morning the Tysor steamer Hawkc's Bay arrived back from Port Chalmers to commence Homeward loading. The Huddart-Parker steamer Wimmera, from Sydney, via northern ports, arrived yesterday morning, and remains in port tiU this afternoon, when sho leaves for Lyttelton and Dunedin. On Tuesday the coastal trader Blenheim goes on the slip for cleaning, painting, and overhaul. After being delapcd two days by the bad state of the West Coast bar the Arahura arrived in port early yesterday morning. Mr. Broughton, late purser of tho Ptikaki, joined the Mokoia at Dunedin. Mr. 0. B. V. Wheeler, late purser of the Rotoiti, has gone to ' Dunedin for orders. Mr. Bcswick, second ofllcer ' of the Rakanoa, has also gono to Dunedin for orders. ' According to the Ohristchurch "Press" of Wednesday, owing to the slackness in the coal trade, the Waihora and Kini have joined the ranks of , the unemployed steamers, and will be laid up ' at Lyttelton until after the holidays. Their I crows were paid off on Wednesday. | Advice received by the local agents for tho Tyser Line states that the Niwaru will arrive at Wellington on Thursday, April 15, with a little ' over 900 tons of cargo for this port.
