(by TELEOP.Arn—rRESS ASSOCIATION.) Westport, April 1. The Hon. It. M'Kcnzie, Minister for Minos, arrived in Westport last night, coming overland from Nelson. He was tendered .1 complimentary social in tlie Victoria Thoatro last night, received deputations from ■the School of Minos and County Council tin's morning, and laid tho foundation stone of tho new School of Mines at noon, after which he attended a complimentary luncheon by the council of tho School of Mines.
