ATHLETICS.
EVENING MEETING. The Athletic Football Sports Club held a meeting on the Basin Reserve last evening, which was fairly Well attended by tho public, and proved very attractive from the point of viow of sport. Results:— 100 Yards Handicap—First heat: W. Woodier, scr., 1; A. Cunningham, 7yds., 2. Time, 10 l-ssec. R. Bridge (4\yds.) and P. J. M'Namara (10yds.) also started. Second heat: F. C. Ilubbard, 7yds., 1; W. M'Kcnwon, 9yds., 2. Time, II) 2-ssec. P. Green (7}yds.) anil G. Mowatt (10yds.) also started. Third heat: A. T. Duncan, 4yds., 1; J. Wilton, s.lyds., 2. Time, 10 l-ssec. 11. Mathieson (7yds.)V A. C. Johnson (75yds.), J. Ryan (9yds.), and C. M'Erlean (11 yds.), also started. Final: A. T. Duncan, 1; W. Woodger, 2. Time, lOsec. Won by a foot from Woodger, with tho other men closely bunched. 75 Yards Handicap Race.—A. C. Murray, 4vds., 1; n. Thompson, 4}yds„ 2. Time, Bscc. Won by two yards. J. Smith (scr.), F. James (scr.), M. Pool (Iyd.). A. Evensen (scr.), S. Wilson (3yds.), and F. Wilson (oyds.), also started. 410 Yards Handicap Race.—W. L. Dunn, I.lyds., 1; A. C. Murray, 22yds., 2. Time, 54 l-ssec. Murray stumbled at half-way, when loading, and Dunn won by two yards. C. Cunningham (7yds.), A. T. Duncan (15yds.), R. Bridge (15yds.), D. Casoy (16yds.), F. C. Hubbnrd (17yds.), R. E. Bust (19yds.), F. Greon (19yds.), W. M'Kcowen (20yds.), .T. Smith (22 yds.), H. Thompson (23yds.), S. Wilson (23yds.), A. J. Williams (21yds.), L. C. nawk (25yds.), C. M'Erlean (20yds.), and F. Wilson (26yds.) also started.
