NO-LICENSE MISSION.

REV. L. M.ISITT ON TRUE PATRIOTISM. In oontinuanco of his No-Liconse Mission the .Rev. L. M. Isitt delivered to a good audience an interesting address last.evening in Wesley Church on "True Patriotism. The chair was taken by Mr. A. R. Atkinson, who expressed his pleasure at introducing Mr. Isitt as an old comrade in the anti-liquor light. Mr. Isitt referred to the various ideals of patriotism that were cherished, some of them based oil unworthy premises. A patriotism that was strong in relation to material progress left out the most important element. This supreme element in nationbuilding related to. character, and it wa-s this fact, that gave importance to the temperance reform. Facts wero given to indicato the persistent war. that the liquor-trado waged against national progress. Special referenco was made to the latest medical opinions on the effect of alcohol on child-life, before and after birth. The effect of strong drink in the deterioration of character was so marked that there could be no question that the liquor trade is the deadliest foe that exists to the welfare of New Zealand. _ An earnest appeal was addressed to the audience to further the best interests of New Zealand by voting for No-License. Several questions were dealt with, one relating to State control receiving special attention. "This evening Mr._ Isitt will give his last lecture, the topic being, "TheOutJook." He ivill also give an address during the dinnerhour at the Queen's Statue.
