Captain Hugh David, R.N.R., arrived from London, via way ports, at daybreak on Saturday morning. The Corinthic left London 011 December 14, and Plymouth the following day. Moderate to strong southerly winds were experienced, with heavy westerly swell; thereafter, fine weather to -Teneriffe, which port was reached on December 20. A stay over night was made, enabling the passengers to enjoy a visit 011 shore. Proceeding on the voyage, moderate north-east trades were encountered with fine weather to latitude Bdcg.- north and longitude lGdcg. west. Moderate S.E. winds ivith . fine weather prevailed from-latitude Bdeg. north to latitude 20deg. south, the wind freshening to a fresh galo with heavy head seas between latitude! 20deg. south and , latitude 30deg. south. Thence there-was fine weather to Capetown, which was reached on 1 January 6. The voyage'was continued \be same day. During, the run to Hobart gentle to strong variable winds were encountered with line weather to longitude 50deg. east, and between longitudo 50deg. east and longitude Godeg., east in latitude 45.30deg. south foggy weather with drizzling rain was experienced. Variable westerly .winds with overcast sky prevailed for tlio rest of the voyage. At the Tasmanian' port several passengers left the vessel, and .over 500 tons of cargo were discharged. Departure was taken from Hobart last Monday night, and in crossing the. Tasman Sea enjoyable \venther was experienced. The usual sports; deck games, dances, and entertainments were held during the)voyage, with much success and enjoyment, and the. arrangements made for. the Christmas festivities at sea were much appreciated.
