A Mosaic floor, believed to be 2000 years old, has been unearthed at Alexandria while builders were sinking the foundations of the English girls’ college which the British community is erecting according to the design of Mr. Grey Wornum, the English architect. The design contains a fish in the centre, with a comical decoration surrounding it.

Called at Telephone Office: “These flowers are for the ’phone girls." Supervisor; “Oh, thank you, sir. You flatter our service.” “Flatter nothing! I thought they were all dead!’’
