Alarnototo defeated the Otago touring- team at Ranfuriy on Saturday by hi points to 6 points. Amidst scenes of the greatest enthusiasm and before a crowd ol between 50,000 and 53,000, New Zealand defeated the Springboks in the iirst lest at Wellington, on Saturday, by 13 points to 7 points. After a fairly even match at Alexandra, Tuapeka defeated Vincent by nine points to six points. Hie Vincent forwards more* than held their own but the opposing- hacks handled snore safely.
