Fat Cattle —There was a fairly large entry, 224 being- forward. These consisted of medium to good quality cattle and a number of pens of well finished bullocks. Competition was slack, and prices showed no improvement on last sale's rates. Extra prime bullocks An 10s to ,£l4 2s Od, prime £<j to medium £l> 10s, to £6 10s, prime cows ana heifers £6 to £8 7* od, medium £4 to .£5 10s, light from £3 lO * upwards. . fat Sheep—There was a goodsizeu entry, 2,579 being- forward. These consisted principally of medium weight ewes and wethers and a number of pens of prime sheep. Prices for h-nivy weight sheep were, if anything, a shade easier, while light weight ewes and wethers were firm at late rates. 1 nine wethers 15s to 18s 6d, medium 12s to 149 6d, light from ics upwards, pume ewes 12s to 13s 6d, medium ys to 11s 6d. ..
