Football

The annual meeting of the Vincent sub-union was held on Wednesday.

The games for May gth were dravvn a* follows: AhGRADE. Cromwell to Wanaka. Alexandra to Matakanui. Clyde a bye.

B-GRADE. Matakanui to Moa Creek. Bannockburn to Lowburn Alexandra a bye.

Attendance at practice does not present a very hopeful outlook for the Cromwell and Lowburn representatives, as so far the number taking part has' been nothing better than disappointing. Sufficient players to fill the two grades are far from in sight, and unless it improves the possibilities of playing two teams must be seriously considered. Coaching, too, is another important aspect, and the few players attending regularly, as well as the coach, are sure to lose interest :f an alteration does not take place very soon. On top of all this, Cromwell A are down to play at Wanaka on May oth. On that day three of the leading hacks will definitely be absent, and there will be no chance of drawing on the B's, who are playing the same day. Considering all things it therefore seems very doubtful if Cromwell A will be able to fulfil the first flag fixture. In an effort to get some finality re the players available, all eligible for Cromwell A or Lowburn B, are requested to meet on the Cromwell ground for Wednesday evening at 7.15 p.m. It is necessary that every one who intends playing should bo present.
