CARE OF THE TEETH.

Bad teeth are not only a real spoiler of beauty, but are extremely danger ous, for they cause many gastric troubles, and lower the health quite alarmingly. They also alter the voice and cause sore throat.

If teeth are kept thoroughly clean, there is no reason why there should be anything wrong with them. Brush them night and morning. Use a fairly stiff toothbrush, some good dental cream, and brush them up and down, not to and fro. /

Also brush the back of the teeth and the gums. It Is a safeguard against gum trouble, or pyorrhea, if the mouth is well-rinsed with a good mouth wash after cleaning. A milk diet is very injurious to the teeth, and, of course, iron and some other medicines. In the latter case, use a straw. The acid resulting from the milk diet, however, can be discounted by using a pinch of carbonate of soda in the water with which the teeth are cleaned.

Go to a dentist at least every six months, for much can happen to your teeth in that time. To nip any trouble in the bud will save you both money and pain.
