Little Wilfred looked worried ! He stood on one of the best library 1 chairs, and one by one his grubby | paws seized on the best bound books in the case and turned them over, i only to return them to the shelves again. It was evident that he was looking for something-something important. j And then Wilfred’s pa entered noiselessly and at bis sharp “ Wilfred !” one of his choicest volumes j fell with a crash to the floor. I “It’s all right, pa,” he said. “I'm only looking for the ‘ History of England.' ” j ” ‘The History of England ’ ! What ever for ?” | “Why, Johnnie Spooner, at our school, says that Albert Jones played for Bolton Wanderers two years ago, and I saj he didn’t !”
