Fat sheep : —There was a large yarding of 2900. Priecs at the beginning of the sale showed a dceline, but improved later on. Best wethers brought It's 6d to 21s, extra heavy to 2is 9d, medium to good 17s to 18s Gd, light lis to 10s, best ewes 15s to 17s (3d, medium to good 13s to lis (id,

Fat lambs :—A very small yarding of 31G. Prices tame as at last week's sale. Best lambs 15s to 10s,. medium to good 13s to Its (id, light 10s Gd to Us Gd. Fat cattle: —201 head were penned, of which about half were prime quality beef. Bidding was keen, but prices were slightly easier. Best bullocks £ll to £l2 10s. extra to £ls 17s (id, medium to good £9 to £lO 10s, light £7 10s to £S 10s, best cows and heifers £8 10s to £lO 10s. medium £0 5s to £S, light £1 10s to £5 10s.

Pigs : —Small yarding of 110. Porkers and baconers were in short supply, and met with a brisk demand, realising from 4Ad to 5d per lb. Young pigs were much the same as last week. Suckers 9s to 13s, slips 15s to 20s, stores 21s to 255, porkers 2Ss to 335, light baconers 3Ss to 13s, heavy baconers 15s to 50s.

Pabbitskins :—We offered a large catalogue, and cleared the lot at prices slightly better than at the preceding week's sale. Quotations :—Selected winter does 3(54(1 to 4»J#d, prime winter's 32Ad to 3ld, medium to 3ld. prime winter bucks 2ld to 23d. selected to 25 jd, seconds LSd to 19d, blacks 23d to 33Ad, incoming 17£ d to 18d, outgoings 14d to lGd, racks 9Ad to Hid, summers Nd to lid, inferior and torn 6|d to lOd, horsehair lSd to 19d.

Sheepskins : —We offered an exceptionally large catalogue at Tuesday's sale when there was very good competition, and prices were slightly firmer. Quotations—good half bred s, SAd to WAd per lb, medium 7d lo7:{d, fine crossbreds 7Ad to SAd. prime GAd to 7d, coarse od to Gd, besttuerin'OS 7i'd to BAhl, medium <JAd to Gd.

Oats :—There is very little change to report, owing fo vendors being inclined to hold their lines. Prime milling, Is IOAd to Is lid, good to best Iced Is !)d to "is 10-Ad, medium is 7d to Is i)d. (sacks extra.) Wheat:— The market is much quieter although a fair number of lines of both Tuscan and Velvet have been placed at quotations. Good, fowl wheat has* fair inquiry. Ltd., report for week ending; 21th August as follows. Rabbitskius:—We held our usual weekly auction sale at our stores on Monday the 22nd instant, when we submitted a good catalogue to the usual attendance of buyers. There was spirited competition for all on offer and the prices realised were fully up to late rates. Prime winters in pood condition were sought after, and were firm at last week's quotations, while Incoming tcrs and low and medium grade skins advanced Id to 2d per lb. On the other hand, fatty and damp skins were easier and there was a big difference between the value of these and good conditioned skins. We would strongly impress on vendors to see that their consignments are properly got up if they wish to realise full value.
