Social.

The annual St. Patrick's social was held on the 17th inst, and was a most suscessful gathering. Great excitement prevailed over the progressive euchre, which was keenly contested. Mrs Goodger and Mr J. Sawle being the winners. The floor was in tip top condition at d well filled by dancers who had come with the intention of enjoying themselves. The ladies supplied the refreshments, and left no stone untamed to provide a spread sufficient to any appetiK The music was supplied by Messrs Partridge Bros,, and E. Marshall, which was just about perfect. The secial proved a sue cesa financially, and was kept going until about 3 p.m.
