CROMWELL DISTRICT HOSPITAL.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Trustees of the above Institution was held in the Secretary's Office on Tuesday, 21st May, 1895. Present: The Chairman, Messrs Rooney, Mnrrell, Young, Mountney, and Talboys. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. Outward correspondence read ana approved. ~ The surgeon's report for April was read, by which it appeared that during the month two patients had been admitted and four remained over from the previous month ; of these, one—viz., William Welton, of Midrun, miner, died of Diabetes Insipidus, three were discharged cured or relieved, and two remained over for further treatment.— The report was received and adopted. Copy of return for requisition from Ota"o Central Board for year 1895-96 was" laid on the table. The Chairman stated that as the return required to be sent in before the meeting took place, he had drawn the requisition and forwarded same to the Otago Central Board.—The action of the Chairman was indorsed. The following accounts were passed for payment: D. A. Jolly and Sons, stores, LO 9s 7d ; J. L. Scott, bread, L2 13s. The visiting committee reported that everything was going on satisfactorily at the hospital. The old ash pit was filled and it would be necessary to get a new one dug. Resolved that a new ash pit be dug, and the matter be left in the hands of the Chairman to put a suitable person at the work. Messrs Murrell and Rooney were appointed as a visiting committee for ensuing three months. It was resolved that the meetings of Trustees should be held at 7.30 from Ist May to 30th September, during remainder of the year at 8 p.m. A. vote of thanks to the chair concluded the proceedings.
