GREENFIELD SCHOOL.

Th«re was a full house at the -Greenfield School flbreak-up on Tuesday, 21st, vpjheoi Mr IA. Craig, chairman of the School committee presided, and a most enjoyable programme, vWis rendered 'by the school children, assisted by frtends. Eeeitations were given by D. Goodman, 1 Craig, Cathie Smith, Jack Goodman, ffine ?js£oddart, James. i<raig,, J. Stoddart, ;Ji Goodman, 'E. Carnegie, Edith Stoddart, Geoffrey . Stirling, Dorothy ttoodman, Qfargaret Craig, B. Pitt, M. Carnegie arid 'Mervyn StoddaTt. The children sang in fine, style "The British Grenadiers,'' "Hearts of Oak," "Bay of Biscay," and; "The London Train." Songs were also rendered by Messrs J. (Miller, Pitt, Hardy, Carmody, ILueaa and Mts Pitt-, and these were all encored.

The chairman distributed the prizes 03 follows:—'Dux, James Craig (silver medal); juniors, Betty Pitt, 1; seniors, Evelyn Carnegie, 1; special prize for attendance, Dorothy Goodman; general intelligence, Mervyn Carnegie; class prizes, Margaret Craig, Mervyn Stoddart, Geoffrey Stirling, "Dorothy Good©an, Cathie Smith, Eric Stoddart, Jack Goodman, Edith Stoddart, Jack Stoddart, Mervyn. Carnegie. A hearty vote of thanks was acCgZ&ed! the teacher ((Mrs Smith) and the performers, and the floor was clft&red and an enjoyable dance held midnight.
