GORE EASTER TOURNEY. Two rinks from Kaitangata, one from Stirling and one from Milton took part in the annual Easter Bowling Tourney at Gore. Jn the preliminary round J. Kyle, I). Middlemass, A. Aliddleniass and Robert Carson (s), Kaitangata, lost to the N'orthend (Invercargill) 'rink, the scores being 14 —20. W. Duncan, J. Pryde, T. Stark, W. Penman (s), Kaitangata, lost to J. B. Perks (Gore) by II to 20. .1. 'Smith, «. K. Ford. H. Carson, G. Anderson (s), Stirling, defeated .1. Baldwin's (Gore) rink by 18 to VA. .1. Wyber, .1. Smith, A. Buchanan and A. O. Buchanan (s), Milton, lost to Gibson's (Taieri) rink by Bto 18. The winners qualified to play in the Provincial rinks, and the losers in the City rinks. The following are the results: —

PRELIMINARY GAMKS.

Four pairs from Kaitangata, two from Stirling and two from .Milton competed in the pairs' matches, the winners of the preliminary round passing into the 'Mataura Pairs, and the losers into the Wyndham I'airs. The following were the results:

Middlemass and Carson (Kaitangata), Buchanan and Buchanan (Milton), Penman and Pryde (Kaitangata), Duncan and Sharp (Kaitangata), and Middlemass and Kyle (Kaitangata) won their preliminary games, and Wyber and Smith ('Milton), Ford and JI. Carson (Stirling), and Smith and Anderson ' (Stirling) lost their games in the preliminary round. In the Mataura Fairs Carson won his first three games, winning his section ; outright. Buchanan won his .first and j third games and lost his second. Pryde | lost his first and second games. Sharp ', won his first and third games, j but lost , iu the second. Middlemass and Kyle j won their three games, winning their ; section. The final was played between Perks (Gore) and Kyle, the former winning by 21 to 12. In the Wyndham Pairs Foi'd aud 'Garson lost their first game and won the following tw r o. Smith and Anderson (Stirling) won their first game. Wyber < and Smith (Milton) won their three | games, and in the final defeated Stead t (luvercargill) by 20 points to 19. BALCLI'THA GREEN. During the Eastir holidays local bowlers took full advantage of the fine weather, and during the four days (Friday till Tuesday 'inclusive) several doubles tourneys were decided. As the result of Friday's tournameut McDonald and Murray (s) were successful in the final, and on Saturday Hutchins and Ramsay were the winning pair. On •Mouday and Tuesday Hagen aud Ramsay won the dou'ble, being successful on each day. The winners of Tuesday's prize-money kindly handed it over to the Red 'Cross Fund. OTHER TOITRXEYS. A Stirling rink, viz., Rae, McSkimming, Henderson and Esson (s) took part in the Dunedin Easter Tournament, and were successful in getting into the finals. A rink skipped by L. Edwards (Clinton) visited Oamaru at Easter, but met with little suecess.
