BALCLUTHA GOLF CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING.

The annual meeting of the Balelutha Golf Club was held in the Borough Council Chambers on Tuesday evening, there being an excellent muster of members present. The president (Mr J. E. Thompson) occupied the chair. The balance-sheet showed a debit balance at the bank of £7 2s sd, but against this there are unpaid subj scriptions amounting to £l6 8s 6d and cash in hand £3 18s 6d. The unpaid ac- : counts amount to £3 ss, so the balance for the season is £9 19s 7d. The assets amount to £7l 7s 3d and the liabilities ' to £34 7s sd, leaving a balance of £36 119s lOd. . The following were elected officebearers for the coming season:—President, Mr das. Sheridan; vice-president, Mr G. Waymouth; captain, Mr J. E. Stewart; secretary, Mr H. Waymouth (re-elected); committee, Messrs Harrison, Banks and Ramsay. Several new members were proposed. The formal opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 5, the committee to have the links put in order for play before Easter if possible. The ladies meet to-morrow night to elect a committee.
