HORSEWHIP AT AN OPERA. A remarkable incident occurred at the end of a recent performance of "I/ohengrin" at the Ham hurt: Municipal Opera House. Jhe audience was dispersing when a man rushed from the front row of the stalls and began to horsewhip the conductor, Herr Otto Rlempercr. Thd assailant proved to bo a H.«mhiir • engineer agd architect. Horr Walther Puritz, whose wife is the prima, donna of the municipal opera. The conductor sprang across the railing and replied to his assailant's attack with his fiats. In a letter to the Dress Herr Puritz declares that the conductor had refused a challenge to a duel following a domestic! incident. >
