OPERATION ON A DOG.

A dog which has been under X-rays, an anaesthetic, and an operation for the removal of a six-inch wooden skewer will be discharged from the animals' hospital at Westminster to-day as completely cured (stated the 'Daily Mail' of November 16). The dog, a fox terrier, belonging to Mrs Beeehey, of 95 Mendora-road, Fulham, has aii uncontrollable appetite for tho delicacies provided by tho cats'meat man. Not only did lie devour the cat's-meat some days ago but with it he also swallowed the six-inch skewer. The penalty of thieving was acuto suffering, and his mistress took him to the animal*' hospital.
