SHEEP WORRYING.

J A bad case of sheep-worrying is re-: | ported locally—some ewes with lambs I belonging to Mr Dunstan, whose farm' I lies between Messrs William and; James Willocks, Stonoy Creek. Mr James Willocks was aroused at about 5 on Tuesday morning last by hearing his dogs barking loudly, aud on investigating found two dogs—one iv crossbred fox-terrier, and one a largo brown retriever—busy worrying in] Mr Dunstau's paddock in front of his (Mr Willocks') house. A messenger was quickly sent to Mr Dunstan, aud the dogs were approached from both sides with guns. The large dog managed to escape, however, al-i though the fox-terrier was skot.
