In the evening tho Hull was packed, and the sum of £'i was taken at the door. The exhibits compared favourable with the standard of former years, and the season has been gooll for fruit, iiowers and vegetables. However the entries in the fruit class were not as large in numbers as usual and tlhis is accounted for by the fact that the winds damaged the blossoms in many (places, and then a notable enthusiast in this direction, Mr J no. Davidson, has left the district. The committee who are to be complimented on the success of tiie proceedings were Messrs P. McLaren (Chairman), A. Morton Sen., A. .Morton J'un., S. Robertson (secretary), Grey, Somcrville, D. Thomson, W. Lomond arid H. Webb, Misses H. K. Dnlyrmplc, M. Morton, A. P. Morton, M. Paterson, S. Paterson, E. McViear, N. Fletcher, M. Simpson, and J. Shields. An excellent musical programme was supplied by Mrs Dalyrymple, Miss Dalyrymple., Misses M. and S. Paterson, Miss and Master Gold gave pleasing exhibitions of daneimg and were loudly applauded. The shooting gallery under charge of Mr P. McLaren, was well patronised, anil so was the refreshment stall. The exhibits were tastefully arranged, and in quality and quantity were a credit to the district.. LIST OF EXHIBITORS.
