Wheat. — Market continues fairly active for . all descriptions. Choice sort 3 are, however, in most request, and are boinjr freely taken up at top quotations, while medium and fowl wheat' are largely dealt in at firm prices. There is, however, a very considerable falling off in consignments from the country, and, with a steady demand for flour, millers' stocks are gradually being reduced. It is therefore anticipated present values will be well upheld right through tho season. Good to best dressed ryegrass seed is held for 2s 9d to 3s 3d, choice 3s 6d to 4s (ex store sacks extra, net). —Cocksfoot : Best 5Ad to Ggd, medium 4d to 5d per lb. Potatoes. — Market exceedingly flat, only a hand-to-mouth business passing, and prices declining. Quotations ; For best Derwents L 2 to L 22s Gd, medium LI 15s to LI 17s 6d, kidneys (prime, in small lots) L2 2s 6rl to L2 l2s 6d per ton (ex store, sacks weighed in, net). JJairy Produce. — Business meantime confined to local trade requirements, mostly retail. Quotations : For prime salt dairy made butter o^d to 7.i<l, medium 4d to 6d, factory made 9d to lOd ncr lb.
