Wheat. — The short supply in store is creating more confidence ami leading to a more active tone locally. Buyers appear to be daily more anxious to secure supplies, which arc not by any means coming to hand very freely. The deliveries up to date (the greater portion from North Otago and Canterbury) are less by one-half compared with the quantity to hand up to the same time last season. There is. however.no change in values, but last weeks' prices are readily obtainable for o.ny offering.
