CADZOW CONCERT COMPANY.

— 0- # This company of talented musicians announce that they will give a concert in Mackenzie's Hall to-morrow evening ; on the following (Sunday) evening the same company will give a sacred concert. The Cadzow Party have during the past week been giving a series of concerts in Lawrence where they have without exception met witli; large aiid appreciative audiences. Both Mr-jQadzow and Mr Neil.who are vocalists of a high order, and have from time to time been accorded flattering receptions from critical audiences >in all parts of the colony, are not altogether straugers to a Balclutha audience. Madame Gadsow and Miss Mabel Eolfe are however entire strangers. Of Madame Cadzow a critic says it is indeed impossible to speak too highly of this lady's brilliant powers as a pianist, and no one who has any pretention to musical taste should miss the exceptionally rare treat which her visit affords. Miss Eolf c's capabilities as a vocalist are also referred to in flattering terms. She iook part in the sacred concert, which by the way was patronised by the clergy, at LaAvrence" on Sunday evening. The critic already quoted says : —Miss Mabel Eolfe's singing of " The Holy City" was a fine rendering of a song that none but gifted and cultivated voices dare attempt successfully. Miss liolfe, in her singing of the song just mentioned, and subsequently of " There is a Green Hill far away," supplied an instructive object-lesson both of the necessity of cultivation and of its uses, always, of course, providing for the possession of good natural gifts of voice.
