HELPERS.

TO THE EDITOR. Snt, — With reference to your Fuerua correspondent's paragraph re hut, and his special reference to myself, I can say that the little I did was truly a labour of love, and I am sure that the kind donors, who contributed so freely, will be gratified to see the altered and more comfortable appearance of his surroundings, and those who have been waited on, and who have been delighted with his well kept garden with its profusion of bloom, a veritable oasis on a toilsome road, can still have an opportunity to contribute their mite. The hut proper is paid for, but there is a lean-to, his bedroom, roofed with weather boards, now entirely rotten, requires corrugated galvanised iron, about 18s worth to cover it, and which I intend to procure as soon as funds are available. The smallest donation thankfully received. — I am, etc., B. S. Murray Puerua, June 12, 1894.
