The Chairman reported that he and Mr Day had inspected the school premises, and decided to recommend that a number of trees in close proximity to the school should be cut down as falling leaves from them blocked the spouting, and they afford a harbour for the small birds. Mr Lousley moved, and Mr Day seconded that the visiting committee be authorised to have the trees cut down and the spouting seen to. Mr Day moved and Mr Lousley seconded that the visiting committee be requested to report to next meeting on the water supply for the school, and the best method of raising funds to carry out the necessary work. Mr Hogg brought forward a request from Mr Valentine, first assistant, that the committee would assist him in urging the Hon. Defence Minister to accord official recognition to the School Cadet Corps. It was decided that the matter should stand over until the appointment of the new head master. This concluded the business.
