Fat Cattle.—l7l yarded, mostly medium quality and weights with an odd pen of prime. The demand wna unusually slack, and prices were again lower, some going back to their paddocks unsold. Bullocks sold at L 5 15s to L 9 7s 6d for extra • cows sold at L 4 5s to L 9 '2s 6d for very heavy weights. F-.it Sheep.—2lß2 penned, all crossbreds and mostly aged ewes. Sales throughout were of an exceptionally dull character, some pens scarcely eliciting a bid. The general average of prices showed a decline of fid to Is 3d a head on ewes, the few wethers offered making about late ruling rates. About 400 were turned out unsold, and are held over for next week. Crossbred wethers brought 10s to 13s 9d, crossbred ewes brought 6s 6dtolls. Lambs.—Only 194 penned, but as they were of inferior quality they were sufficient to meet the limited demand, and sold at low rates. Best brought 7s to 9s, others 5s to 6s 9d. Pigs.—lol yarded, which included some nice quality baconers. These brought full rates, while suckers and slips sold at full ates.
