Thursday Evening. BURNSIDE STOOK SALES. Fat Cattle.— Only 161 yarded, chiefly prime qualities, a fair proportion -being serviceable heavy-weights, and several pens of prime heifers, small cattle, and fat cows. Although the supply was small it was more than equal to requirements, and there was no improvement in prices. Besl; bullocks cold at L 8 to LlO 10s ; medium sorts L 6 10s to L 8; ligtt and inferior L 5 to L 6 IOs ; prime heifers L 7 to L 9 ; medium and small L 4 to L 6 10s. Pat Sheep. — The moderate supply of 1516 peuaed, of which 140 were merioos. The supply was equal to the nnd prices ruled the same as last week. Crossbred wethers sold at lOs to 13s 4d ; do ewea 7s to lis 3d • merino sheep 4s to 4s 9d. Fat Lambs.— l6s penned. Best sold at 9s to 10s 9J ; medium quality at 6s to 9a 3d. Pigs— Only 55 pigs pennrd, nearly all suckers and slips, the market being quite bare of stores aud bacon pigs Suckers sold at 6s to 12s ; slips los to 16s ; porkers 23s 6d to 255 ; baconers to :42a.
