BURNSIDE STOCK SALES.

Pat C.itc10. —245 yarded, the largest number offered for a considerable time. Prices were in. favour of the trade to the extent of 2s Cd per 1( D lb- 1 on recent value.-? huh considering the largo eni-.ry the >.ale was fairly salisfacl-ory. Prime bullocks brought from L 9 to LlO 10s ; ordinary do L 8 to L 3 15s ; medium L 6 lOd to L 7 10s ; small L 5 to T , ; prime co«s L 7 to L 8 15s • ordinary do L 5 10s to L 6 15j • a^ecl and inferior L 3 to L 4 10. Fat Sheep.—2B3o penned, 230 being merinos. Throughout the ..ale both bidding and prices were irregular. Piime crossbred withers in some i!is!-.:mces brought about last week's values, and in others clo c upon Ts le-s, and crossbred ewes all through the sale suffered even a greater decline than this. Fat Lamb%— 255 penned- The demand was veiv slack, and prices much in favour of buyers. Pi TS- —S3 weru penned, nil small sorts ; no porkers or Kiconrrs to hand. The demand was not by any mc.ns f brisk, and prices were lower. Suckers brought 6" 6'd to 12s ; slips, 14s to 18s : stores 19s to 20s. Store Cattle.—Grown bullocks in forward condition, re.ulv for going on to the turnips, are in demand, and, if well'm-ed and quiet, realise from L 6 to L 7. according to size and condition. The demand for other descriptions is not so brisk as it hr.r. been, but still any lots offering meet with sale at very fair values. Store Sheep.—During the p..st week some very large auclion ;ale" have been held, and, although prices ruling have not been so high by from Is to Is 6d per head by what they" were earlier in the se. on, especially in the case of j cro'sbreds, there lias been a, good demand, and the great bulk of the offerings have bsen disposed of. First cla, s merino ewes, four or five years old. from which no cro sbred lambs have'been taken, are the only description of sheep on which there has been so shrinkage in value since ■the sea. on opened. Prices for this class have, if anything, finned.
