Wheat.— The market continues extremely quiet and business to only a very moderate extent is being done. The small demand experienced is chiefly confined to prime quality, aud, as the quantity of this class coming forward is vory much below the averge of former seasons, sailers are less anxious to quit at prices offered by purchasers ; business in consequ°nce is somewhat restricted. Fowls feed is in fair demand but the supply ia in excess of requirements and sales are difficult to effect at late quotations, and, as a large portion of tlie wheat coming to liand is fit only for this purpose, prices will likely remain low for a time. Quotations : For prime milling Tuscan and velvet, 2s 7d to 2s 8d ; extra choice velvet, slightly more ; medium to jjood 2s 5d to 2s Grl ; inferior to medium Is 9d to 2s 4d (ex store, sacks weighed ia, terms). Oats. — Thereis no improvement in the position of tbe market. Prices still continue low although there is a slightly improved demand. The supply is, however, in excess of requirements and sellorst are uunble to secure any advance on pricea lately ruling. Dairy Produce.— Prices unchanged. Quotations : For prime salt butter dairy made 6d to 6M ; medium 3Ad to 4 Ad ; factory made Od to 10d per lb. Factory cheese ; medium size 4hd to 4|d ; loaf do 4gd to 5d ; dairy made 2d to 4d per lb. Flax.— Local market extremly flat. Quotations : For medium to good Ll3 10s to Ll4 10s ; inferior, nominally LIO to Ll2 per ton (ex store).
