DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORTS.

Wheat.— This market pi-esents uo new feature. PI ome advices continue to report a quiet tone at Mark Lane, wile no indications of any renctiou in the meantime, at any rate. Business in the local market is only to a very moderate extent, owing chiefly fo the fact that the quantity of really good milling is in very few hands, and not much of it, also that sellers are not disposed to accept lower prices in the meantime than- those beins lately quoted, and as buyers are supplied for the time being they are not over-anxious to operate at prices out of proportion to those quoted at Northern ports, which are reported to be more in favour of buyers. The demand is not by any means active. Quotations : Prime milling Tuscan and velvet 2-; 7(1 to 2s 8d ; choice a shade more ; medium to good 2s 5d to 2s 6d ; inferior to medium 2s to 2s 4d ; (ex store, sacks weighed in, terms) . Oats.— The market is quite void of animation. The small business being done is confined to the requirements of the local cousumers; and, as the quantity still being put on the market for immediate disposal is a long way more than sufficient for present needs, there is no show for prices to improve, nor are they likely to while growers continue to press sales immediately on arrival. A small business is being done in feed and milling, at prices ranging from Is 3d to Is ssd (ex store, sacks extra, net). Ouly very small parcels can be picked up at these prices, as a Rood many growers have now decided to store for a time. Barley.— Very little prime malting offering Really good has some inquiry, but there is no demand for any other sort. Quotations : For prime malting, 3s 9d to 4s • medium, nominally 3s to 3s 3d ; milling, 2s 6d to 2s 9d j feed, no inquiry (ex store, sacks extra, terms). Grass Seeds. — There is no improvement to note in the demand for ryegrass seed. Short, heavy clean seed is saleable at late rates ; while undressed large seed is somewhat difficult to quit.
