CLUTHA SALES.
Wii,soN Cameron and Co., report as follows : On Wednesday 28th we held our monthly sale at M'Tntyre's yards, Owaka, when we yarded and sold on behalf of various vendors 60 head cattle at for steers up to L 6, cows to L 5 10s, young cattle 30s to 50s. There was a good demand for cattle, but several lines of sheep yarded were turned out unsold prices not reaching veudors reserves. —On Friday last we sold on. behalf of Mrs Melrose her farm, Broomhill, at L 6 an acre, Mr B. Lochead being the purchaser, and during tlie week we leased the above farm on behalf of Mr Lochead to Messrs Hogg Bros, foi- a term of five years at a satisfactory rental. — We have placed privately during the week 1000 crossbred ewes at from 7s 6d to lis, aud. 7oo crossbred wethers at from 10s Gd to 12s 6d.
