DUNEDIN PRODUCE REPORTS.

Wheat. — The markeHs quite lifeless; business in the meantime in comparatively stagnant. Advices from Home are as unsatisfactory as ever. There is" no change in values here this week but buyers are- standing aloof even at present low values, and, except for prime lots of undeniable quality, it is difficult to effect sales.' Deliveries of the new crop are not yet very extensive, anil the few con<»igmn?hbs that have come to hand mostly out of condition, showing signs of having been weathered. Buyers are chary of this description, which can only be placed at fowl wheat prices, and with a good deal of this sort now being offered, dealers in such purchase sparingly, afraid of a further drop. Outs. — At the moment there is no inducement to consign to the .Australian markets, and the grain is hardly in condition to ship Home. The market, in consequence is almost at a staudstill, for all that is requised for local consumption does not absorb very much. Deliveries, although not very heavy as yet, will be daily increasing, and as the supply now put on the market for immediate disposal exceeds requirements, in the absence of any demand to speak of, sales are difficult to effect, except at ruinous prices to the grower. Grass Seed.— Perennial ryegrass seed, clean, shelly, and heavy, is ,in fair demand, while roughly grown, big seed, undressed, is rather difficult now to place, and as the bulk of the offerings consist of such, businsss is somewhat flat. Quotations : For machine-dressed — good to best 3s to 3s 3d ; extra choice perennial, 3s 6 1 to 4s (ex store, sacks extra, net).— Cocksfoot : Market quiet, prices range fi'om B=fd to I%<\ per lb.
