Wheat.— No improvemont in the tone of the market. Samples of new crop do not come up to the usual standard, and will be difficult to quit except at prices unsatisfactory to grower. There is some slight enquiry for prime velvetFowls' wheat is in over supply and prices reduced. Quotations for prime milling : Tuscan and ve)vet 2s 7d and 2s 9d, extra choice velvet a shade more, medium to good 23 5d to 2s (id, inferior to medium 2s to 2s4d— ex store, sacks weighed in, terms.

Oats,— The market; has drifted from bad to worse and is now in a very unsatisfactory state. The new crop is coiring forward with more freedom, also with instructions te sell immediately, off truolc, The quantity offering is by no means heavy, hut appears to lie more than sufficent to meet thcdemand existing! so that, in the absence of a payable market outside, buyers will only operate at prices which cannot very well come lower, and, while growers persist in making immediate sales prices will not readily improve. Potatoes.— Market move liberally suppled and prices not quite so firm. Quotations : Best L'S 10s to L 3 17s 6d : medium L 2 17s Gd to 1,3, %Qs per ton (ex store, sacks weighed in, net). Dairy Produce,— Market quiet. Prime salt butter dairy m.ad£. dull at 6d to 6.3d ; medium 3Jd to 4Jd; factory made 91 to lOd per lb. Factory cheese— medium size 4§d to 4^d ; Joaf, do 4jfd to 5d ; dairy made 2d to 4d per lb. Flax.— Cablegrams from Home report the market exceedingly flat, and prices further receding.
