BURNSIDE STOCK SALES.

Fat Cattle: — Only 80 head yarded. There was a brisk demand, although several of the largest buyers bad supplied themselves outside the yards, and prices ruled bettor than at last week's sale by fully 10s per head. Best bullocks sold at LS 10s to L 9 15s ; medium L 7 to L 8 5s ; light Lo 10 to L 0 103 • best cows and heifers L 8 to T.lO 153 ; ordinary L 3 10s to L 7 10s.

Fat Sheep. — 1704 penned abont 40 being merinos. The demand at no time during the sale was brisk,, and prices were considerably lower than last week, especially ut the close of the s;\l<\ Best crossbred wethers sold at 12s to 13s 9d ; medium do 10s to 11s fid; best crossbred ewes 11s to 13s 9d ; ordinary 7s to 10s ; m»riv\os 4s. Fat Lambs. —455 penned quite sufnuient to supply the demand, which is not so brisk as it was earlier in the season. Theru was but little com pefition except for best pens 1 , and prices for prime ruled much the same as last week ; store quality were rather easier : Best sold at 9s to 10s 3d ; medium 7s to 8s 9d ; small 3s 01 to cs 9d. Store Cnttle.— A very steady maiket exists, A moderate number change hands from week to week, and very oft n realise prices relatively higher than tiios" 1 obtaining for finished lots. All sorts meiit with buyers, and the supply is evidently still short ot requirements. Store Sheep. -Business is on the increase. Buyers are more numerous, and doubtless owing to large areas of stubble being available the demand shows some improvement. Nearly all the sorts offering found purchasers at prices quite on a par with those ruling the previous week.
