NZPA-AAP Sydney The champion runner, Darren Clark’s athletics future and, whether he makes the jump to rugby league will hinge on his performance at next month’s' Commonwealth Games. Clark, aged 24, announced yes-; terday that he was talking seriously with the Sydney premier rugby side, Randwick, after' earlier speculation he would join Balmain rugby league club next season and offers from several other teams in the Sydney league. “Rugby gives me a way out if I want to run again because it is amateur,” he said. “If I agree to, play league and it doesn’t work 1 out or I want to run again I have' to get reinstated. “But it’s all dependent on how; I do at the Games.
