Champion bagpiper
A New Zealander, Murray Henderson, has won the title of world champion bagpiper for the fourth time. His success meant he equalled the record of a Scotsman, lain MacFadyen. Mr Murray, who left Bluecliffs, near Timaru, to make his home in Kerriemuir, Scotland, 20 years ago, had to overcome tough competition from eight Scotsmen and one Texan.— NZPA.
