Aust. loses second game in France
NZPA-Reuter Beziers, France The touring Australian rugby team lost its second French tour match when beaten, 19-10, by a Languedoc regional XV yesterday., The five eighths, Didier Camberabero, recently restored to the French national team, kicked five penalty goals and provided the impetus for a well deserved win. The Wallabies started strongly, with the Queensland flanker, David Wilson, going over for a try in the tenth minute to give the lead to the tourists who dominated the early scrums. But the loss of the prop, Dan Crowley, and the hookercaptain, Tom Lawton, because of back injuries pitched the scales in the home team’s favour. Christophe Urios brought the score level with a try, followed by the first two of Camberabero’s penalty goals to give Languedoc a 10-4 half-time lead. Three more penalty goals after the break gave Languedoc an imposing 19-4 scoreline, with the Wallabies adding a late try to Peter Slattery, converted by the five eighths, Mitchell Palm. ■ The Australians were unconvincing and will need to make progress before the first test in Strasbourg on November 4. Languedoc Regional XV 19 (C. Urios try, D. Camberabero 5 pCaalty goals) Australia 10 (D. Wilson, P. Slattery M. Palm conversion), ,
