Nuclear stance
Sir,—A regular pro-A.N.Z.U.S. correspondent, James Bacon, continually tells us how misguided we are in not welcoming nuclear-armed ships and building closer military ties with the United States. When you consider that country’s total support for some of the most vicious regimes in history and its propping up of Marcos during his reign (September 9), I would rather retain respectability by keeping our distance. — Yours, etc.,
