Poland
Sir,—M. Creel is rather unjust in blaming the Polish comrades for unearthing Katyn and the Nazi-Soviet pact. Some Soviet spokesmen also agree with the Poles about these matters. After spending some time in Russia he should write about Gorbachev’s talk of “decades of lawlessness,” Ryzhokov’s talk of 40M living below the poverty line and Yeltsin’s talks about the unjust privileges of party members. He could enlighten us about the 100,000,000 refugees each from Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and about local scientists reckoning that the. K.G.B. used tanks and poison gas against demonstrators. Could it .be possible that the above, crowd is all in the pay of the imperialists? If M. Creel keeps mum about these things he should not blame the capitalist press for misinformation. —
