Bjorn Borg marries
NZPA-Reuter Milan, Italy Sweden’s former tennis ace, Bjorn Borg, married an Italian pop singer, Loredana Berte, yesterday in a private civil ceremony in Milan, city officials said. Berte, aged 38, is Borg’s second wife. His first marriage to a Romanian tennis player, Mariana Simionescu, ended in divorce after four years. In 1985 he met former model Jannike Bjorling, by whome he has a son, Robin. The two are currently involved in a court battle for custody of the three-year-old boy.
