SIDA take-over
Broadways Industries, the Christchurch investment company, has completed its take-over of the South Island Dairy Association. It advised the Stock Exchange yesterday that it had bought the remaining 0.16 per cent of the outstanding shares in the SIDA from the Otago Cooperative Dairy Company.
Amcor growth
Strong profit growth in all divisions except paper-mak-ing helped Amcor lift equity net year profit 26 per cent to sAustl72.4o million ($NZ223.9M), the company said. The results came on group sales up 21 per cent to a record $3.50 billion ($NZ4.558).
