Broker not guilty
A Sydney stockbroker, Roger Bain, has been fouond not guilty of insider-trading charges at Castlereagh Street local court. Magistrate Roger Dive dismissed all charges against Bain, aged 27, a resource analyst at Bain and Co. The Corporate Affairs Commission had failed to prove that Bain had used price-sensitive information in dealing in Australian United Gold, Nl, shares in June, 1987, the magistrate said.
